This odd creation was sparked by a challenge made by one of my friends. He asked me to create a Rasta Pumpkin. So, I did. The pattern to make the pumpkin, stems and leaves can be found on the wonderful Crochet GeekBlog.
The hat
(Note I made this hat in a spiral crochet and I'm forever annoyed by how it turned out since you can see the green overlapping but my friend won't give it back for fear I'll destroy it, lol.)
I just made a simple circle starting out with 6sc and expanded out to the size I liked then just a few SC around to make it fit.

The Dreads
I chained about 12 or so and then took a steel brush to them and lightly felted them, it really turned out great!
